Hawaii Life Log | 景色と暮らすハワイ生活 はじめました

皆様、遅ればせながら2026年、新年明けましておめでとうございます。

ふと思い立ち、一年の計は元旦にありということでブログを始めることとなりました。思い返すと年齢を重ねたせいか記憶を残すためにも、ウェブ上にログを残しておこうと思ったのが理由です。

日記というか日々のハワイ生活のLife Log になればいいなと思って投稿していきます。

今日の写真はマカプウルックアウトから臨むラビットアイランドです。マカプウトレイルに行くともっと人が少なくて登った達成感と高さが相まって絶景感が楽しめます。時間に余裕のある人は行ってみて、時間がない人は少し人が多いけどルックアウトで充分、綺麗な景色が見えるし、良い写真が撮れます。

Happy New Year 2026, everyone — though a little late!

On a whim, and inspired by the saying “A year’s plan starts on New Year’s Day,” I decided to start this blog. Maybe it’s something that comes with age, but I’ve been wanting to keep my memories somewhere, so I figured it might be a good idea to leave a log online.

Rather than a diary, I hope this will become a Life Log of my everyday life here in Hawaii. I’ll be posting little by little. I’ll share more details another time — today is just a quick greeting for my first post.

Today’s photo is Rabbit Island, seen from the Makapuʻu Lookout. If you hike the Makapuʻu Trail, you’ll find fewer people, and the combination of the climb and the height gives you an incredible sense of accomplishment along with an even more stunning view. If you have the time, I definitely recommend the trail. If you’re short on time, the lookout is more than enough — it’s a bit crowded, but the scenery is beautiful and you can take great photos.
